BoundHive AI Policy
This policy explains how AI supports the BoundHive publishing workflow, where deterministic rules are used instead, and which decisions remain with the author.
Where BoundHive uses AI
AI can help normalize a brief, propose an outline and metadata, draft manuscript sections, create illustration or cover artwork, and explain validation findings. Deterministic KDP dimensions and compatibility checks belong to the versioned rules engine rather than an AI guess.
What AI output means
Generated output is a draft. It can contain factual errors, repetition, unsafe assumptions, weak prose, visual defects, or material resembling existing work. BoundHive keeps generated fields editable and does not silently submit them to Amazon.
The author’s responsibilities
You must review facts, originality, rights, citations, claims, age suitability, accessibility, layout, and the complete export. You decide whether to regenerate, edit, remove, or approve each result and whether the finished work is appropriate to publish.
AI-generated and AI-assisted disclosure
Amazon distinguishes AI-generated content from AI-assisted work in its current disclosure workflow. BoundHive records how project assets were produced and provides a publishing note, but the author must compare the finished project with Amazon’s current question and answer it accurately.
Content rules and safeguards
The Acceptable Use Policy applies to every AI request. BoundHive may not be used to generate NSFW, pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive content, content that exploits or sexualizes minors, or unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
Requests pass through more than one safeguard. The AI provider applies its own safety systems to text and image generation. Before an illustration, cover, or A+ banner is generated, BoundHive also sends the image prompt to a content-moderation service operated by Creem, BoundHive's payment partner, and does not start the image when that check declines the request or cannot return a result. A declined image request is not charged. BoundHive does not automatically reword a declined request or send it to a different provider to obtain a different outcome.
These safeguards reduce risk; they do not make prohibited output impossible and do not guarantee that every legitimate request passes. A declined request is shown as declined so you can revise it, and a temporary technical problem is shown as temporary rather than as a policy decision.
Privacy and provider processing
Only context needed for a requested generation job should be sent to the configured AI provider, and only the image prompt is sent for content screening. Private project content is not reused as a public BoundHive article. See the Privacy Policy for provider and retention information.
