BoundHive Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you bring into BoundHive and everything you ask BoundHive to generate: briefs, manuscripts, uploaded images, metadata, illustration and cover prompts, and any other AI text or image request. If content or conduct is prohibited here, it is prohibited everywhere in the service.
Who and what this policy covers
The rules apply to every account, whether free or paid, and to every project on the account. They cover content you write yourself, content you upload, and content produced by BoundHive AI features at your request. You are responsible for the requests made from your account and for the material you keep in it.
Prohibited content
You may not use BoundHive to generate NSFW, pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive content, or any content that exploits or sexualizes minors. This applies to text and images alike, including illustration and cover requests.
You also may not create, upload, request, store, or export the following through BoundHive:
- Sexual content involving minors: any depiction, description, or suggestion that sexualizes a person who is, appears to be, or is presented as under 18, in any medium or style, including fictional, drawn, or stylized work.
- Sexually explicit or provocative material: pornography, graphic sexual acts, nudity presented for sexual effect, sexualized poses or framing, and prompts written to obtain such imagery.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery and deepfakes: sexual or intimate depictions of real people without consent, face-swapped or otherwise manipulated likenesses, and content that presents a real person in a fabricated sexual or intimate context.
- Unlawful content: material that is illegal to create or distribute where you or your readers live, or that facilitates a crime.
- Harmful content: instructions for serious self-harm, for producing weapons capable of mass harm, or for other activity intended to injure people; incitement to violence; and terrorist or violent extremist propaganda.
- Harassment and hate: content that threatens, harasses, or degrades a specific person, or that promotes hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics.
- Infringing content: reproduction of copyrighted text or artwork without permission, imitation of a living author or artist presented as authentic, use of protected characters, trademarks, or logos you do not hold rights to, and any other violation of intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights.
- Deceptive content: content designed to mislead readers or platforms, including fabricated reviews, impersonation of a person or organization, and false claims of endorsement or approval.
Prohibited conduct
You may not attempt to bypass, disable, test, or defeat the safety, moderation, rate, credit, plan, or access controls of BoundHive or of the providers it relies on. This includes rewording a declined request to obtain a prohibited result, splitting a prohibited request into smaller pieces, using automation to generate abusive volumes, probing or disrupting the service, scraping other users' data, sharing credentials, or reselling access without permission.
What remains permitted
These rules target prohibited content, not whole genres. Romance, historical fiction, crime fiction, memoir, health, relationship, and educational writing that addresses adult themes without sexually explicit or exploitative material can still be created, reviewed, and exported in BoundHive. Serious subjects may be written about seriously. When a request sits close to a line, keep the treatment non-graphic, and remember that Amazon KDP applies its own content guidelines at publication.
Your responsibility for rights
You confirm that you hold, or have permission to use, the rights in every brief, manuscript, image, name, and reference you bring into BoundHive, and that the finished book will not infringe another person's rights. Generated text and images are drafts for your review; you decide whether they are original enough, accurate enough, and appropriate enough to publish, and you answer Amazon's disclosure questions truthfully.
AI requests and safeguards
AI text and image requests pass through safety systems operated by BoundHive and by the service providers it uses. Image requests are additionally screened before generation with a content-moderation service operated by Creem, BoundHive's payment partner. A request may be declined by any of these layers, and a declined image request is not started, so its credits are not charged. BoundHive does not automatically rewrite a declined request to obtain a different verdict and does not route it to another provider.
Safeguards are not perfect. They can decline legitimate work and can miss prohibited work. A result that gets through a filter is still prohibited if it breaks this policy, and you remain responsible for reviewing everything before it leaves BoundHive.
How BoundHive responds
BoundHive may stop a generation request, pause a job, restrict or suspend an account, remove or disable access to material, and preserve records where reasonably necessary to protect people, other users, providers, the service, or legal compliance. Serious or repeated violations can lead to account termination under the Terms of Service. Where the law requires, BoundHive may report content involving the exploitation of minors to the appropriate authorities.
BoundHive does not review every project by hand. Enforcement decisions are made on the basis of automated signals, reports, and human review of specific cases.
Reporting a violation
If you believe content created with BoundHive breaks this policy or infringes your rights, email support@boundhive.com. Include a description of the content, where you found it, and, for rights claims, the work you hold rights to and how to contact you. We will acknowledge reports and take appropriate action after review.
